My Thoughts:  I am an avid reader of Laura Griffin and a lover of thriller books. Deep Tide is labeled as a romantic thriller, however, I would consider it more of a romance than a thriller. Don't get me wrong, there is definitely some police procedure in the book when it comes to the crime scenes and the kidnapping. But if you are a lover of thriller books, like me, then this is most likely not going to be the book for you. For me the book was a slow burn. The pattern is that I am not a huge fan of stories with multiple timelines as I don't usually find them done well and find that it can be difficult to keep everything straight. This story follows a cop who was once considered a hero and then later turned into a "monster". The story follows the cops two timelines, the crime that made him a hero in the public eye and then the crime that made him a monster.
