October Reviews
Review preview: I picked up this book for my son who is 11 months old. He loves to read and carry around books and it looked like it might be a fun illustration book for him to look at and I was right. The illustrations done by Barry Gott are well done. They are fun, colorful, and eye catching. I really enjoyed the illustrations myself.
Rating is 5 out of 5 as it was a super easy, short, and fun read. I loved the attention to detail and the illustrations. It is such a colorful book. Check out the full review here.
Review preview: This is my second Ruth Ware book and I found this book to be way better than the first one I have read. I am glad that I decided to give Ruth Ware a second chance.
Rating is 4 out of 5 because the story didn't really catch my attention until further into the book. Once it caught my attention I had difficulty putting the book down. Check out my full review here.
Review preview: I picked up this book for my son, who is a little too young for the book at this time as he is only 11 months old but I know it will come in handy later when he is older. The books is filled with colorful illustrations. When Sarah Read is describing the anxious monster, it reminded me of the way that I describe my son to others when talking about what milestone progress he has made and what he likes to do.
Rating is 5 out of 5. The book was easy to read and follow. It was relatable and the techniques are easy to implement for the target age of 3-5. Check out my review when it goes live on November 7, 2020 at 6 am CST.
Review preview: This is the third book in the The Burning Girl series and as funny as it may be, I have only read this one and the second book, Blood Echo, in the series. I have the first one and plan on reading it especially after having read Blood Victory.
Rating: 5 out of 5 as this book will keep you wanting more and more. It is well written and I loved the ending. I am hoping that we get a 4th Burning Girl book. Check out my review when it goes live on November 14, 2020 at 6 am CST.
Review preview: I picked up this book for my son, who is a little too young for the book at this time as he is only 11 months old but I know it will come in handy later when he is older. Just like Sarah Read's other book that I read, this book is also filled with colorful illustrations.
Rating 3 out 5 because I did not find all of the explanations that the Dinosaur's parents gave him as to why he had to wait very relatable and didn't find that their were any techniques to use to help with being impatient. Check out my review when it goes live on November 21, 2020 at 6 am CST.
